Background And Experience

Carolyn has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and groups for well over ten years. Most of her time has been in a private practice setting although she has also worked at the counseling centers of a number of universities, including Harvard University, Lesley University, and Elon University.

She holds a Master of Social Work from the Smith College School for Social Work and completed a two-year, post-graduate, clinical fellowship at Harvard University. In addition to this training, she received a Master of Divinity from Harvard University.

She has furthered her expertise with additional training in a number of leading methods, including Sue Johnson's Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Couples Therapy, and Michele Weiner-Davis' Divorce Busting.

In her professional positions, Carolyn has worked with a very diverse client population with regard to race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religious traditions, class, and age. She/her/hers.
