Carolyn is a highly-trained and experienced therapist specializing in individual, couples, and group therapy.

She provides these comprehensive services in a confidential, relaxed atmosphere. And, she is sensitive to the needs of traditional and non-traditional families and the LGBTQ community.

Carolyn's special interests include: stress and anxiety; depression, sadness, and anger; relationship issues and concerns; couples counseling; life coaching; spirituality and meaning; and general well being. She also specializes in working with marital and pre-marital couples who want to make their relationship happier and healthier.

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE

Carolyn has extensive experience working with individuals, couples, and groups for well over ten years. Most of her time has been in a private practice setting although she has also worked at the counseling centers of a number of universities, including Harvard University, Lesley University, and Elon University.

She holds a Master of Social Work from the Smith College School for Social Work and completed a two-year, post-graduate, clinical fellowship at Harvard University. In addition to this training, she received a Master of Divinity from Harvard University.

She has furthered her expertise with additional training in a number of leading methods, including Sue Johnson's Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Couples Therapy, and Michele Weiner-Davis' Divorce Busting.

In her professional positions, Carolyn has worked with a very diverse client population with regard to race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, religious traditions, class, and age.
